FruitCraft: Fermentery + Distillery grand opens

This weekend marks the grand opening celebration of FruitCraft: Fermentery + Distillery, which moved into Hillcrest last month. An extension of The California Fruit Wine Co., a local employee-owned venture founded by brothers Brian and Alan Haghighi, FruitCraft’s new tasting room serves its original natural fruit wine, ranging from cranberry to pomegranate-cherry and pumpkin space.

Recently, FruitCraft introduced fruit eau de vies distilled from its fermented product via a flight that includes pineapple, mango, pomegranate and cranberry brandies. For now, the spirits are being produced by Cal Spirits in San Marcos but the company is working on creating an on-site distillery. There’s also menu of craft cocktails and sangria that combines its fruit wines and spirits with fresh-pressed juices and bitters, along with a selection of bites and snacks.

To commemorate the grand opening weekend, FruitCraft is offering ten percent off the bill if diners make their reservations via this page.
