TASTING ROOM MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Tasting Room Manager
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Summary: FruitCraft is a unique fermentery & distillery with a primary focus on weddings and private events. A qualified candidate will be responsible for managing tasting room & event staff, coordinating event food and beverage logistics, possess excellent sales & customer service skills, a level of professionalism and willingness to be a team player.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Tasting Room Manager will consistently execute the event and service standards of FruitCraft. The Tasting Room Manager is expected to follow all FruitCraft policies, prioritize the company during working hours while being a positive and supportive team member.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage tasting room service including enforcing policies, delegating tasks, and maintaining workflow for FOH and BOH staff.
Acquire expertise in FruitCraft history, fermentation process, fermentation styles and product ingredients.
Proactive in obtaining new members through tasting room patronage.
Assist with managing membership programs including member tasting room events, obtaining new members, depletion of points, renewal calls, pauses and cancelations.
Execute and run day to day operations of the tasting room including opening and closing tasks.
Maintain schedules of FOH/BOH employees, anticipating volume increases and assist with service when needed.
Create shift prep sheets, confirm reservations and assign tables accordingly.
Facilitate breaks, lunches and sending employees home when necessary.
Perform regular trainings for FOH/BOH staff.
Complete monthly, weekly, and daily inventories for the tasting room.
Complete supervisor overrides and manage customer service related complaints.
Edit and print menus on Adobe Illustrator, update POS, and staff on available tasting room products.
Ensure regular maintenance of bar and kitchen equipment.
Maintain keg inventory for production team; Order and shop for tasting room items when necessary.
Responsible for cash drops and maintenance of tips and payroll hours.
Obtain customer reviews on Yelp, Google, The Knot, and WeddingWire.
Proactive in obtaining new event leads.
Coordinate food and beverage service with event and wedding customers via in person meetings, emails and phone calls.
Coordinate and execute event and wedding service.
Manage event leads including venue walkthroughs and tastings.
Track and report service and event sales & execution goals, including new ideas in weekly management meetings.
Maintain and promote a positive and professional atmosphere for staff and customers.
Adhere to and enforce all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations, including the most current COVID-19/Coronavirus regulations.
Stand and move during the length of shift; bend and kneel; carry 40 or more pounds; move tables and chairs from one part of the venue to another during events.
Core Competencies and Requirements
Must have open availability and be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
Knowledge of FruitCraft products and history is desired.
Service or Banquet industry experience required.
Strong customer service skills required.
L.E.A.D and SafeServ certification required within the first month of employment.
Communicate regularly, tactfully and professionally.
Thorough attention to detail and desire to take initiative.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company.
Previous people management experience preferred.
Proactive in all functions of the role.
Team player who is able to positively interact with all levels within the organization.
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities.
Flexibility with day to day tasks.
Ability to make decisions for the better good of FruitCraft.
Passionate about wine, cider, mead and cocktails with ability to taste, describe and evaluate qualities and characteristics to staff and customers is a plus.

Compensation
$54,080-$56,000 DOE. 55-60 hours a week. Full time.
