The Answer to LIfe's most Intoxicating Questions
Sediment is something that occurs naturally during fermentation, and can sometimes still occur after fermentation has completed. It is essentially yeast cells or fiber and proteins from the fruit. It occurs with grape wines, and also fruit wines. It has nothing to do with the wine spoiling, and will not affect the flavor of fruit wine. If occasionally you see sediment in a bottle, you can use a decanter to separate the wine from the sediment, or enjoy it as it is.
