Pop Up Pickle Party - Community Fundraiser

FruitCraft - Fermentery & Distillery

Registration for this event is now closed

FruitCraft has partnered with Solidarity Farms for produce and as the pickup location for the Hillcrest CSA box. Recently, we purchased their surplus strawberries in order to reduce food waste and make a delicious hard alcohol strawberry kombucha. This was a natural partnership as we are both committed to creating a more equitable model where we share the ownership of our businesses with our broader communities.

These past few weeks have been hard on all of us due to the heat wave across San Diego County. Solidarity Farm reached 121 degrees and lost a good portion of their crops as a result. We are looking towards our community to come together and help them recover for a produce filled rest of the year. FruitCraft believes in the good that Solidarity Farm is doing in our community and we want to help.

On Wednesday July 25th from 6pm-9pm, we will be lending our space to co-host a fundraiser with the farmers. As a supporter, you will have a chance to pickle your own cucumbers, learn about the state of Solidarity Farm, our partnership with them and food justice in San Diego. There will also be fresh produce straight from Pauma Valley for purchase. FruitCraft will debut a hard alcohol strawberry kombucha made in our tasting room with strawberries from Solidarity Farm.

There are two ways to support*:

DIY Pickles (cut, spice, vinegar and jar your own pickles) - $10

DIY Pickles + flatbread or salad entree - $20

*$10 of every ticket goes straight to Solidarity Farm

Together, we are building a more just local food system and invite you to get involved. This is a family friendly event with live music and we look forward to seeing you!
