INSPIRATION

When FruitCraft Fermentery & Distillery was founded we were encouraged by other social entrepreneurs who were using business as a force for good. We loved seeing companies solving problems, giving to charity, and protecting our environment. But even with all that was happening we knew business could go even further. We wanted to see businesses in the marketplace whose primary mission was to do good and whose founders weren’t in it to get rich, but rather make a difference.

This was the inspiration behind the social value enterprise business model. It goes beyond the marginal giving back approach of most social enterprises and retools the entire purpose of profits to share wealth instead of concentrating it, or to create social value. In adopting this new model, it became apparent to all at FruitCraft that we needed more businesses to adopt this model, thus the School of Social Value was born.

MISSION

FruitCraft and the School of Social Value aim to help fix the negative outcomes produced by business by establishing a new paradigm for why business exists. Their mission is to mainstream the tenants of Social Value Capitalism, to help lead a migration of conscious consumers, investors, and laborers in order to create an economy that works for everyone.

VISION

We believe the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible can be created when we wake up to the economic power we have as a collective movement. We’d like to live in a world where the majority of businesses are community-owned and using their profits to create common good. The idea is to leverage the surplus produced by business to alleviate the suffering of others and to create a world where business has few negative outcomes.

INVITATION

But none of what we’re imagining can come to fruition without the support of our community. Which is why we’re inviting anyone who hears this message to become economic activists and to participate in reshaping the type of world we live in by incorporating selflessness into the motivation behind consuming with, investing in, and laboring for a business. Anyone looking to put an end to the injustices of greed is encouraged to be a part of this free market solution to economic inequality, the Social Value Movement. The first step is to take the social value pledge and to become a social value soldier. We look forward to working with you to create a more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

TAKE THE SOCIAL VALUE PLEDGE

The social value pledge is a personal commitment by people in our community who want to use their economic power to make a difference in our world. Our hope is that thousands and thousands of people across the country are motivated to participate in a revolution that is designed to re engineer an economy that works for everyone.
